Charlene brings inspiration and connection to Life’s Journey through her eclectic artwork.  As she travels through her life, she simultaneously explores it (and herself) through creating, using her hands, her heart, colors and form, images and bits of this and a good bit of that.  She goes where she is drawn… and her artwork shifts and changes accordingly.  Somehow, the subject matter always ends up being about the human journey, even if it she doesn’t intend it that way.  Kind of like life…

She’s explored through furniture painting, glass mosaic mandalas, vine charcoal drawings, abstract acrylic paintings, funky folk sculptures, jewelry and photography.  But it would be more accurate to say that she explored self understanding & expression, her relationship to structure and rules, movement & freedom.  She asked what fences us in, what do we yearn for? What inspires? She pushed against her Barriers of Should and, climbing over them, found a new place to play… Just Because and For No Reason. And in this place. she dances.  It is in this place now, that Charlene is letting all expectations drop and truly is creating, exploring and playing simply for its own sake.  She’s finding many modalities coming together and doesn’t know where it will lead.  Kind of like life…

But if she having fun, if she’s deeply content in the making of it, her art & her life, then that’s The Thing isn’t it?  That’s a journey well traveled… That’s a Life Worth Living…

Sometimes clients are so inspired, they ask Charlene to create custom pieces for them.  Sometimes she says yes! When it is a yes, they chat, they collude, they laugh and actually end up creating it together in many respects! she gets to know you, your journey, and then incorporates that into the piece!  It’s all about creating a piece of personal meaning…

The Welcome Wall:
Inspired by her own feng shui work, Charlene “accidentally” created a new concept, The Welcome Wall.  Using the principles of feng shui to guide her, in conjunction with your personal taste, she can create an abstract mural for your entry wall.  Or frankly, any wall…
